After much activity in these recent weeks here in the UPMRacing team, we are pleased to announce that we have new partners:

Chassis almost ready!!!!! 

 

After this holiday locked in the garage, we may say that we have almost completed the chassis! We have been a few days late on our timetable because a few tubes have been trapped by the "irregularities in the airport" in recent days. But after arriving by road, we have bent the main hoop. In addition the engine is positioned, and we have already cut and weld almost all the tubes.


Only the final touch to be given left, we can be sure that before the Christmas we will have finished the chassis and we will have much work done. We will try to show you some images soon.

Robert Bosch keeps supporting UPM Racing

 

On December 2 our facilities were visited by representatives of Robert Bosch. We talked about the results of last season, technological advances introduced in the UPM007 thaks to their collaboration and the improvements in reliability and performance that this involved. They were also able to see the car working on the test track of the INSIA.

From UPMRacing, we want to thak the important support they gave us last season and the announce for this season relying on the ambitious project we have begun, and mainly, the implementation in the engine of the BOSCH competition unit.

Body in process

    After finishing the design of the chassis, now the body is almost ready. This part   will be almost the last to be manufactured.

     We are still working in the last details to make our car as fast as possible, but it is almost to be finished.

    However, as a small preview, this is a picture of a front view of our body.

   We hope we will have it ready soon!!!!!

Conexión Líder visits us

Production Director of Conexión Líder, D. Antonio Parra visited us on November 23. We talked about the results of the 2009/2010 season and about the new season 2010/2011 perspectives. 

 

We are pleased to announce that another year we will have the cooperation of Conexión Líder supplying UPMRacing. Thanks to their collaboration we gave a very important step on reliability last year, and we hope this new year involves a new improvement on the quality of our new car UPM008.

We have already got the tubes for the chassis =)

 
The team having finished the design and the car waiting to be built, we have just got the tubes for what will be our new chassis, so we will soon be working with them.

Our project is on!!!

The chassis is the first thing to be made as all the other components are placed on it, so having measured maaaaaaany tubes, we will start to cut, assemble and weld to complete the first step of the work.

The new season is here!!! 

 After upm007 long summer races and the preparations for the upm008, FINALLY we are back to work!

The new season starts, and with it the design and manufacture the new car, always trying  to improve all previous results and, mainly, to do it in less time.

To do so, we have set the challenge of work at the same time in our next upm009 ideas.

We will continue to tell you our progress!
